Ausbildung in der Armee-Starkstrom-Abteilung 1916
Karl Müller with high voltage current unit
A picture of a group of soldiers, including my grandfather Karl Müller (born 1895), who was trained in heavy current engineering in Lens (northern France) from 29 July to 21 October 1916. ASTA = Army Heavy Current Department, a very rare unit. ASTA Süd points out that there were probably 2 such units.
