Charles DUMAS, Lieutenant Aviateur
Photograph of Charles DUMAS, Lieutenant Aviator in his plane (on the left in the photo) Initially assigned to the 57th artillery regiment, Squadron 57, he moved to aviation on December 22, 1915 as an observer. He obtained the Military Brevet in April 1916 and became a pilot. He was killed by a German fighter during an aerial combat on August 25, 1916 at Hennemont in the Meuse.
