Gustav Müller, born in 1888 in Mühlhausen in Thuringia, died there in 1959, was a painter by profession. He belonged to the 2nd Reserve Battalion of the 4th Company of the 165th Infantry Regiment. Müller lived a very secluded life and did not talk about the war.
