Bioenergetics of the Great Basin pocket mouse, Perognathus parvus
Ingestion rates and annual energy expenditure for the Great Basin pocket mouse, Perognathus parvus, were studied in south-central Washington (Hanford Reservation) during 1970-71 as part of the US/IBP Desert Biome proram. Food intake models were derived in relation to time, microenvironmental temperatures, metabolic rate, and coefficient of digestibility.
