Tabor drum
Small cylindrical and shallow side drum with shell made of birch faced plywood bent, chamfered and glued. Wooden counterhoops, vellum heads, rope-tensioned with small leather braces, and drag-rope. Single gut snare with tensioning wooden peg. This unique tabor drum was made by Miss Olive Madeline Perrott, who was a native from Gloucester and a music teacher and pipe maker for the Pipers’ Guild.
