Melanocyte in the conjunctival stroma
Transmission electron micrograph showing a melanocyte in the conjunctival stroma adjacent to a corneal ulcer. This melanocyte contains many pigment granules towards the periphery of the cell. The surrounding matrix contains normal collagen fibrils.
